But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives.' That's Jeremiah 17:9-10 revealing our reality! Exploring the heart's role in our lives and relationships, we confront the dilemma of whether we lead our hearts or they lead us. In this second week of our Relationships series, we learn to check, surrender, hide, and guard our hearts, ultimately committing them wholly to God's guidance and truth.

Have you ever been misunderstood, betrayed, falsely accused, or rejected? The reality is that in life you will face many challenges in relationships and it can often feel like nobody understands… Jesus Christ is acquainted with our pain, He is acquainted with our grief, and He has called us to follow His example. Looking at the final day of Jesus’ life in John 18, we will discover that Jesus did not retreat or retaliate, but He chose to show forgiveness, love, and submission to the Father’s will despite all the pain.

Have you ever experienced the power of being prayed over by someone you admire? Jesus, our Savior and Intercessor, continually prays for us, ensuring we are never alone. In John 17, we see Jesus in His final hours, and what do we see Him doing? Praying! With only twelve hours left to live, He wasn’t in the streets in public ministry and performing miracles, instead He was doing the great work of intercession and communion with the Father. This is the final sermon in the “Final Words” series. We’ll be continuing through the Gospel of John next week in a new collection of talks titled “King Jesus.”
